Marley and Scrooge

Here they are finally.Had to remake Marley's outfit, didn't like it. Looked too modern instead of period piece.





This is Marley. He wears a shirt,pants and jacket. He is encased in chains with keys and padlocks.



This is Scrooge.He wears a nightshirt with drawers underneath . Time permitting he would have a nigtcap which I will take down just before the show.
Is sleep in my future? Have a good day!

Progress

The bodies of Marley and Scrooge are done.Now on to the clothing. The patterns are made so next is cut and sew. See you later.

It's Puppet Time

The second gallery showing for the Orlando Puppet Festival will be held October 15 - November 12 at the Gallery at Avalon Island.
That is on S Magnolia in Orlando and I have been asked to participate again. Yay. The theme is"No Strings Attached".
I will be showing three pieces, Johnny Crows Garden, Bro Rabbits Friends and Foes and Marley and Scrooge. That would be the box of unfinished pieces that will also have to be dressed! Help?!

Clueless

Ok, I was working really hard yesterday on a new piece and pretty much got it finished except for the ears. When my husband got home I excitedly held it up and said"What do you think?"
"What is it?" he asked.
"You can't tell? Look at the legs"
"I don't know."
"Well don't you see the tail. the long tail?'"
"Yeah, I don't know. Wait , it kinda of has a cat shape head..."
"Yes it's a cat, didn't you SEE the TAIL?"
"Yeah but...it doesn't have any ears, so I couldn't tell..."

So, it's a black cat and if he can't see it up close and personal a photo won't do you any good:)

"Hi dear, what did you make today?"
"Nothing hon, nothing at all."

So I told you I had been busy working on new designs. Here is a peek at one with





wool felt muzzle with open mouth. It is 11inches tall and excelsior and polyfil stuffed. Let me know what you think.

The leaves aren't changing here in Florida and it's hot as ever but fall is here.
Maybe soon we'll get a cool breeze. Hope you have a good season of gentle winds, autumn colors and an occasional evening by a good fire.
