Special order

Some of my best pieces have been special orders for a collector. This is no different, it's not something I would have considered making on my own.

But this collector and friend requested I try and I just finished it.

Meet Skunky, my first and likely only skunk! Hope she likes it! Do you? Hehe.

where have you been girl?!

Had a surgical procedure done last week and haven't posted lately. Am now off restricted activity and went out for the first time today. didn't do much, just enough to let me know I'm still on the mend. But the sunshine and fresh air was great!

I'll be filling orders and getting ready for upcoming shows(slowly), but hope to have pictures up of new work soon.

Hope all of you are doing well and enjoying life. I am!

Tropical Doll Study Club Show

Saturday was the doll and bear show in Lakeland, Fl. put on by the Tropical Doll Study Club. There was a bigger bear presence this year which was nice to see.
Bear artist Nancy Dontigney of Dog Patch Critters showed her wonderful animals. There was a good selection of antique bears available for purchase as well.
There were antique dolls to be had at good prices, and even a huge old Steiff camel on wheels.
And there were plenty of interested people searching for just the thing to enrich their collections.

As you can see from the view looking past my table, it was a busy show!
Kids got to participate by finding answers to a survey. They could ask any of the dealers for help. All in all, everyone seemed to have a good time. I did.

Earth Angels heART of...

Went to the Jeanine Taylor Folk Art Gallery in Sanford today to see Earth Angels road show "heART of winter".
Jen o Conner lists several artists
and a few were able to make it to Florida. The art work was wonderful as always and it was very busy so you couldn't really talk to them. There are no pictures as there were signs requesting none be taken.
The gallery itself offers it's own diverse group of artists whose work blended well with the visiting group.
My husband even found pieces he really liked. Out of the price range but still wonderful. It was a great afternoon.
